Seattle electronic duo Navvi are one that encapsulate duality. It’s not just that they are a girl and boy outfit, consisting of beat maker Brad Boettger and singer Kristin Henry, but they've seamlessly nailed melding moody electronics and delicately crystalline vocals. The intoxicating mix of dark musical masses and light singing is one that their success has grown out of and with influencer nods to Massive Attack and Portishead, there isn’t much that could go wrong. The lead track of their new album ‘Simpatico’ is the perfect example of how their trip-hop sound builds and retreats with a pulse of its own.
